Family Video in Wellington is participating in the cancer research fundraiser Round it Up for Lymphoma. The fundraiser has been going on all month and will go until March 27 with 100 percent of the proceeds going towards the Lymphoma Research Foundation and the University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Care Center.
At the Wellington location, for every dollar a person donates at check out, they receive a raffle ticket that can be put into a couple different drawings – each featuring prizes from local merchants.
The fundraiser has taken place each of the past four years with Family Video and it's various sister companies across the country. In that time nearly five million dollars has been raised for research and patient education.
